We made a whirlwind trip to the US in May and June this year. We felt like we didn't have enough time in any of the cities we visited, but it was great to be able to see family and friends again (where possible).
First stop: Abuela and Abuelo's house in Seattle where we recovered from jetlag. Chiara was happy to see her grandparents, as always.
In Portland, we were able to visit with Great-Grandma and other members of the family. A highlight of visiting Portland was going to the zoo where Chiara had been many times before. Chiara also got a chance to spend some time with Aunt Nancy and Uncle Steve, and sing songs on the piano - a favorite with her.
We visited Jameson Park with our friends Karen, Abe and Jack. Chiara and Abe are friends from when we were living in Portland. It was great to see them, and the kids had a good time splashing in the water.
